Thanks for visiting my web site. Here you can find comprehensive information on Breckenridge, Frisco and Summit County, Colorado Real Estate. I have 16 years experience in this market. I am a consistent top producer in the Breckenridge RE/MAX office. Trust me to help you with your Breckenridge and Summit County real estate needs, whether its a luxury home, mountain cabin, ski lodge, building lot, vacant land, ski-in/out condo or townhome. Given the national real estate slump, you may wonder how Breckenridge and Summit County are holding up. Because this is such a unique market we've not noticed any decrease in property values, and there's only been a slight increase in foreclosures, mostly related to time share or interval ownership properties. Property values continue to rise, and, because a majority of real estate here is owned as second homes for mostly absentee owners, our foreclosure rate is very low. Contact me for more information. FLASH: There are a couple of new, high-end developments in Breckenridge. Check them out. One Ski Hill Place Waterhouse On Main Street

About Summit County
Located about 60 miles west of Denver on I-70, smack dab in the middle of Colorado's glorious Rocky Mountains, Summit County is in a valley surrounded on the east and south sides by the Continental Divide, and on the west side by Vail Pass. Entrance to Summit County from Denver is through the Eisenhower Tunnel, a mile and a half long tunnel through the Continental Divide some 11,500 feet above sea level. Read about this amazing, highest tunnel in the world.
Hoosier Pass defines the southern edge of Summit county, about 10 miles south of Breckenridge. It, too, is a pass over the Continental Divide which is the watershed separating water flows to the Atlantic Ocean on the east side and the Pacific Ocean on the west side. Hoosier Pass, at 11,500 feet, forms the headwaters of the Blue River, which, when it flows out of Dillon Reservoir after a scenic passage through the middle of Breckenridge, is one of the most beautiful and pristine, Gold Medal trout fisheries in the country.
Traveling along Interstate 70, the western edge of Summit County is Vail Pass, at about 10,600 feet. Some 15 miles beyond Vail Pass is the city of Vail which hosts the most popular ski area in North America.
Breckenridge, at almost two miles above sea level (9,600 feet), is the county seat for Summit County, and home of one of the most visited ski areas in the country. There are three other ski areas -- Keystone, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin -- in Summit County, and Vail Resort is about 25 miles west.
Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne are principal towns in Summit County and provide a variety of real estate opportunities which I would be happy to help you with. Peruse my web site and then contact me for that dream resort or investment property.
REAL ESTATE IN SUMMIT COUNTY IS BOOMING
The last few years in Summit County have been absolutely amazing in terms of real estate appreciation. Sales have been increasing in double-digit numbers, and owners are seeing large increases in the value of their property.
The popularity of the area is due to its unbeliveable beauty, its location and its winter and summer activities. With respect to available property, demand is outpacing supply. Real estate is approaching buildout which means that all the property that can be develped is getting close to being developed. When this happens, you can expect prices to 'go through the roof'. This will likely happen within the next 8-10 years.
If you want to learn more about this phenomenon, please contact me. I'm happy to share my expertise with you.

First Time Buyers >A Realistic Evaluation
Your real estate agent's job is to find you the perfect home, in the right location, with all the amenities you want--and at the right price. It is the home inspector's job to find any skeletons in the closet -- or in the plumbing, wiring, roof, basement and beams.
The inspector won't pass or fail a home based on what he or she finds, but will go over the house thoroughly to help you understand the condition of the property you are buying. If there are any serious problems, your inspector can give you a realistic idea of how much the repairs will cost. If there are material defects that were not reflected in the asking price, you will have the opportunity to re-open negotiations with your sellers before you commit to the purchase. A good inspector will also explain the operation of the basic emergency systems such as the main water cut off valve and the circuit breaker box, and will go over items that will need routine maintenance.
If you are buying a house, we recommend that you make a professional home inspector part of your home purchase team.
