🏛️The 88th Texas Legislature's session focused on critical subjects like property tax relief, water infrastructure, and the electricity grid. The focus on property tax relief was well-received, promoting financial security for homeowners. However, the impeachment proceedings against Ken Paxton sparked longstanding concerns and led to his trial in the Senate. Tom Fox and Loren Steffy discussed the accessibility of public services in remote areas, emphasizing equal opportunity and the importance of education in fostering the middle class. The complex decision-making between policymakers over property tax reform and educational funding was highlighted, particularly the debate over the potential privatization of education. The upcoming "Podcasts in Print" series, featuring Tom Fox and Loren Steffy discussing "The Big Empty," offers an insightful exploration of these complex matters. The podcast series offers a platform to delve deeper into these pivotal topics, highlighting Texas' multifaceted challenges and the significance of equitable access to education and public resources in remote areas. 🤝https://bit.ly/47Qnb75#TexasLegislature #PolicyInsights #EducationEquity #PodcastsInPrint #CPN #Podcast

Reflecting on Brown vs. Board of Education, we recognize how far we've come in championing educational equity and diversity. The landmark ruling declared that "separate but equal" has no place in education, paving the way for an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. Let's continue to honor this progress and work towards a future where every student, regardless of their background, has access to quality education. #Diversity #EducationEquality #BrownvBoard

If you are in the Bozeman, MT area, please join us Tuesday evening on the Montana State University campus. In this presentation, I cover training skills to identify, report, and combat human trafficking AND I address systemic issues of demand. Demand = buyers. Addressing demand is at the heart of ending human trafficking. Demand fosters exploitation. Exploitation leads to trafficking.
